Back in Bluff, New Zealand the boats are finding gaps in the atrocious weather to fill the Chinese demand for Spiny Rock Lobster.  Here is a picture when the seas are flat !! New Zealand Spiny Rock Lobster (aka. Crayfish) is caught in traps and flown live to the markets in China.  It often fetches over $100 USD per kg.  Its a very up and down market, with fluctuating prices and demand.  Now and the Chinese New Year are when it can peak...stress levels can be high, but the pay-check rewarding for these hardworking fishermen and processors.
