We aren’t your average seafood supplier. We’re a boutique wholesale supplier with the unique ability to get seafood to the right places quickly, and we’re damn good at it.

If you haven’t already guessed, we have strong Kiwi connections. Our founder’s family has run a seafood company in New Zealand for generations, and that history is deeply ingrained in our brand. Our journey began with a simple desire for fresh Kiwi shellfish in Canada and our unique opportunity to work closely with the small coastal fishing communities of New Zealand.

We’ve grown organically from our humble beginnings and we now provide a range of the highest quality products from New Zealand, British Columbia, Mexico and Hawaii, delivered as soon as 48 hours after being caught. We’ve even dipped our toes into our local waters in Canada, snagging our own prawn vessel and license.

And our team? They’re not just good; they’re the best. They’re committed to the product and the process, and their passion for bringing you the finest catches from around the globe can be felt with every interaction.

  • Mark Urwin

    Mark is the founder and brain child of 46 South. From a small fishing community in New Zealand, Mark’s connection to the sea runs deep - five generations deep, to be exact. From a young age, he started working in the family fish factory by day, helping his dad unload the boats by night. As the ocean called to him, he answered and started his career on the boats. In 2012, fresh on the scene in Canada, Mark had the perfect opportunity to share his passion for seafood with a whole new audience. Thus, 46 South was born – a bridge connecting Canadians with New Zealand’s quality seafood and the rich stories that accompany it. When he’s not busy with his young family, casting lines, or pondering all things nautical, Mark is dreaming of the mountains.

  • Will Belcourt

    Will has been with us since the very early days. He’s the mastermind behind the day-to-day operations of 46 South, and is at the helm of the sales team. He’s living the dream, helping the most talented chefs and home cooks across the country create culinary masterpieces with the finest ingredients. For Will, it’s not just about the food - it’s about the thrill of unleashing creativity in the kitchen.

  • Meaghan Foster

    Based in Toronto, Meaghan is our go-to for culinary advice and can be found at any and every food festival. She’s responsible for handling relationships and sales in Toronto, she oversees the plating for our Instagram and is vital for any events we attend. She’s been in the hospitality industry as a chef for nearly two decades, and has a thirst for fresh, high quality and sustainable seafood.

  • Quang Bui

    Quang is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades at 46 South. Working as our customer service rep, he’s also our logistics guru and the mastermind behind our speedy deliveries. When he’s not busy keeping our operations running like a well-oiled machine, you can find him on the golf course or enjoying a slice of pepperoni pizza. His life has been a dynamic journey, all woven into a story fuelled by a passion for nature, business, and the enduring joy of competition. There’s not a job Quang can’t do.
