Delivering a top quality product every time

If you've ever cast a line, you know that the nature of fishing is to not have any guarantees of ‘the catch’. Many factors must line up: weather, seasons, cooperative fish, and a market that understands what goes on behind the scenes to bring premium fresh seafood to the plate.

The cornerstone to this process is communication, and not to brag, but we’re really good at it. Identifying as a boutique supplier, we’re all about choosing quality over quantity, and in doing so, we work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring top-notch seafood to Canadian chefs.

Another key component of our brand is our commitment to sourcing fish that have been caught using the Ike Jime method. It’s not just another fishing technique; it’s an art form. If you’re not aware, Ike Jime is a method of killing the fish that causes instant brain death (sorry, mate) resulting in unrivaled freshness and quality that'll knock your socks off.

Seasonally, you can look forward to an array of available species, and we can typically predict selections a week in advance. With our fine-tuned process, you can expect delivery within 48-72 hours of being caught, depending where you’re located.

We measure our success by the tug of a line and the rocksolid relationships that tell the stories of our fish.

We know our chefs count on us to dish out top-notch products every single time, and our reputation thrives on that reliability and consistency. Our team works day and night to foster the connections we have with both customers and suppliers. Afterall, it's nighttime in New Zealand when it's daytime in Canada, so we've got all bases covered. When it comes to delivering on our promises, we don’t mess around.

ThE WEEKLY CATCH

  • Our job begins with forecasting weather and seasonal species to develop a roster of what’s going to be available.

  • We work with you, the chefs and restaurants, to establish wishlists and inform our partners what species and quantities we would like.

  • We speak with our suppliers to establish the catch and finalize orders.

  • Orders are packed in protective boxes with gel ice packs to immediately take the flight to Canada, hitting your table as soon as 48 hours after being caught.

If you want top-notch quality and freshness, you’re in the right place
